How do I check if I have a warrant?

If you're concerned that you may have a warrant, there are several options.

You can easily find out.

  • Recommended:
    • Access the free online warrant search from the Oregon Courts here.
    • Choose "Smart Search"
    • Enter either your name or your court case number in the "Search Criteria" box.
    • Solve the captcha "I'm not a robot" challenge
    • Click "Submit."
    • Toward the bottom of the page is a section called "Warrants" if you have a warrant. You can read the details of that by clicking the case number.
  • Other ways:
    • Contact the clerk of the court in the county your cases were filed in
    • If you have one, ask your attorney if there is a way to clear the warrant without having to go to jail
    • Show up at the jail to turn yourself in.

      • Tip: Find out in advance if you can about the best time to turn yourself in so you have a chance to be booked and released the same day. In Multnomah County Jail, that time is 3am.
